Dear Mary,

If your friend did not intentionally place himself around children in a way that is against his probation terms,he should not be charged with a crime. Furthermore, if police intentionally provoked your friend to open his door by creating a "commotion", this may qualify as "entrapment", which is a legal defense to some charges. Basically, entrapment is a defense when the cop is creating the situation and when the defendant ends up being unduly pressured or induced to commit the illegal act, one that he would not have committed had the cop not unduly pressured him. It sounds like your friend may need an attorney because he may have a good defense. Feel free to contact me.

My BF went to jail on halloween night as he is a registred sex offender. He went to jail because he open up his front door after hearing commotions outside. They were doing a Operation Boo in Lake County, Ca. His parole officer had already checked on him about a hour before that and told him he was okay. He later came back and arrested him. What are his chances of coming home. Will he be violated for this and if so how long do you think he may get? Thank you

I was recently told that alcohol was found in a purse that was not mine in a room that i reside in and the contents in the purse had a piece of paper with my name on it that they assumed that was mine. What type of trouble would i be in if I were't there present when so offense took place I was in a class designed by parole officer.
